(pending two confirmations)

Driver's Comments:

TurboLover: This was not a good race for me. Good first 5 laps but after that my times were consistently a second or more to slow. At least the race was clean aside from a minor tap of the wall coming out of turn 3. Also screwed up turn 10 and slid off off the track by a good 12 ft probably. Those were the most major imperfections of my race. Managed to pull off a 2nd place though, thanks due to a R390 and Esperante that couldn't stop spinning on the track.

ed99: nice race except for a total spin on lap 12.

Dr. Isotope: To call the Nismo crap is an insult to crap. So consistent, I actually scared myself (how about three laps with .003 seconds) but slow as a bucket filled with rusty nails. Brakes grab so damn hard, you think you'll be ejected through the windshield. Turbo lags in low gears like sleeping bear. Much hate in spirit for this one. BTW... Qualy attempts? 2 laps. 1st one the faster of the two. Gawd, I suck.

Mekon: span on the exit of the hairpin before the start of lap 8

Tosk: I hate those off camber corners!!

BoatDriver: All things considered, I’m happy with the run. Swapped paint with the Altezza LM on lap 1, GT40 on Lap 5, R390 on 9, and 787 on 15. Nothing serious, didn’t cause spins or send anyone off-line too badly. Scraped the wall at the bottom of the hill following the corkscrew on laps 10 and 11, but they were only scrapes. Not actually sure that I touched on 11, but it was close enough to mention. Nearly won the race, but the 787 got by me approaching the corkscrew on lap 15, and we both passed the R390 when he spun on the final corner. FInshed .912” behind the 787, but he pitted once on 13, and my T2’s made it the whole race.

smooth: minor off tracks turns 3,4,5, one on each? not bad thou 4 wheels off maybe once. Biggest problem was the 390 it was kinda push and shove twice during race, slowed me some, but made the race more fun!Hope i do better than last place, I really like this track.

MAB: A pretty good race I thought. No AI issues apart from the usual scrapes on lap one then I just tucked in behind the 787B and watched him open up a gap. He was lapping approx. 2.5 secs quicker which was a good motivator for the first part of the race. Pitted lap 8. Almost went off on the corkscrew just before so I think I got it about right. Nothing else worthy of note before the chequered flag. At last...... a race that seemed to work...still probably way off the pace though!!!

Psyfalcon: AI wrecks 4 (R390 and Esperante tanled infront of me, took me off course), 12 (Esperante should learn to take corkscrew, time loss), lap 13 (Esperante, R390), 14 (R390), 15 (R390). Second place by .15 seconds. Last few incidents were a bit of dirt caused by tring to out race the R390, something i shouldnt have been doing.

CudaMan: Thank goodness! This car is a much better drive than the Elise I was stuck with the last two races. Remains to be seen if this Vertigo can make up for its power shortage like the Elise did...This race was pretty clean. No wall hits, just one massive rear-ender when I crested a rise to see the GT-One at a near complete stop entering the corkscrew! Had two other contacts with the bumbling AI. These guys are pathetic. Ran wide at turn 3 once, got all four tires off and may have just brushed the wall.

DickDastardly: Ugh. Should have run it when I was actually lapping fast, and not half-asleep. Probably should have done more than 5 qualifying laps, I guess, but I'll never work this track out.

Cosi: Stayed on the track, had a fun scrap with the Toyo to keep it fun. O.K.

VB: Had a very bad day at the office!!!! 7 off's but nothing serious. The last one the last lap was the worst. Went off into the dirt before the uphill to the 'screw. A very hot and cold race. Set up was not a very stable one! Had to make do with just getting round. Think this is what I meant about ‘rolling on those rainy street’s'

Aplogies to my teammates for being an idiot and only running 10 laps.

Excellent work, Tim!

What a blast! This GTRC rookie thoroughly enjoyed his first race. I'm just relieved to not have embarassed myself.

Congrats to the winners, whom I have no clue as to how to catch (but I'll try!).

Finding the GTRC has breathed new life into the game for me, as racing the AI has gotten old. Looking forward to races 6-9

Psyfalcon, looks like I guessed right on your Qual. time.... you had a "1" at the end... I lopped it off and hoped it was right.

Random, you need a better team captain to make sure everyone knows whats going on!

BoatDriver, that's a GREAT showing for a first-timer! We're glad to have you along.

Lanry is another great newcomer (last week).... he does very well, AND he submits in ALL 5 CLASSES!

White tires were you guys on?

I was on T2s given my Vettes history of destroying tires. I didnt pay much attention to tire testing given the Enduros i've run (had a C5R since 15%). I probably couldve run T3/T4 and gained a few seconds.

Edit: AHHHH i should NOT post when im that tired. all fixed.

You sure you meant T8, and not T2? T8s would last about 2-3 laps...

Great race guys up top - Lanry; Make your mark my man!!

Tosk, Cuda You are the men!!!!

Psyfalcon
Good question mate! I think my comments will explain a little.
Think I'm going to have to revise my testing and racing stratergies.

It's not all bad though - at least I got 5 points and came in in front of the last man.
