eehhh....i have to disagree, i mean thats a good way to get to know a course, plus to play gran turismo you need a certain amount of patientce. and the japanese are the ones who gave us such a glorious game, and many other great games, and automobiles, and electronics. thank you japan

How on earth do you control the race car on the southern stretch at Sarthe on the IA 16 test?

I'm sitting there with the wheel clamped between my knees and the wheel is like it's been possessed. Can't the French have the sense to fill in potholes before they host a race?

Tried about a dozen times and a couple times I even got bounced into the cones on the sides!

I'm thinking this is down to the game's physics engine, rather than the surface being bumpy. Many people are reporting rough rides on La Sarthe above about 210-215 mph. I've experienced this in more than one car.

Hmmm, who to blame, the Japanese or the French???

FWIW, I've driven many miles in the UK and a fair few Km in France; the kind of roads incorporated into the Le Mans circuit are found all over rural Franch & are maintained to a degree English people would find hard to believe - except that so many of them visit France to enjoy them!

The problem is not pot holes, but the strange traffic regulations, such as 'priority from the right' which allows traffic from a minor side road to join a main road with priority. Years ago a friend was driving his British sports car on a road very similar to the one at Le Sarthe. He'd opened it up on a long straight & was just short of 120mph (yes, I know) when a 2CV swung out from behind a hedge & joind the road in front of him. His suntan disappeared in an instant. Thankfully the road was clear in the opposite direction & all survived with no more than a shock...

I guess it's good we only have the AI race cars to contend with in GT4

I unplug the wheel and play DualShock. Hey presto, instant stability.
