First weird problem: Has anyone else noticed something strange about the Opel Speedster race in the one off races? I normally try to race keeping my A points around 100, but this was just strange. Didn't modify my Speedster, 200 points were available... and I got wiped off the map. Kept adding upgrades to try and compete... 200 points were always available, Finally maxed out the Speedster, 200 points were still available and barely managed to win. This was the strangest race I've been in, period.

Second weird problem: My used car lots, all three, haven't changed or updated their selection for the last week of play. That little gray box pops up and says things have changed, but it's the same cars in the same order every time,.. what the heck?

Have I seriously missed something here?

Peace,
Mark

Weirdness 1: This was mentioned in another thread, & it is strange that the Opel Speedster race should be more of a challenge than the other manufacturer races. I'd heard they were difficult, so I modded the car first, but still found Suzuka tricky; mostly because I was still getting used to the track. I also found the competition in the Peugeot 206 races to be tougher than usual.

Weirdness 2: Can't help much, I only notice a changed lot from the message, or the appearence of a Cougar/Bluebird/TVR/Jensen, etc. One lot full of Nissans, Hondas & Toyotas looks pretty much like any other

Regarding the Opel race, there are no tire restrictions on the race. If you give your car full mods and mount R3 tires, the A-Spec points will actually drop below 200 (down to 161 IIRC). You should also be able to get comfortable wins. I experimented and discovered that one can even get away with using R4s because the races are pretty short. On R4s, you'll *really* run away from the pack, but you do have to attend to tire conservation.

That Opel race does give you a good prize car though.

I found that race to be a real wake up call. a good challenge after

The way the game gives out prize cars ranges from nice to naughty. A good car should be tough to get. The useless lawnmowers should be easier to win, or at least get into a race to win them. Spitfire race?

Car Lot.
I seem to see the same cars over again. I've not really paied too much attention to them. It would make sence for a "star buy" to get sold inside a week, and the old clunkers to remain on the forecourt until someone is making a feature film with lots of car crashes in it.
