![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I recently ran across an extremely good deal on a PSP and in looking for accessories for it I found something called a Media Manager for PSP which allows you to download files from the PS2 to a PSP. It comes with a PSP software disc, a PC software disk and a USB cable. I paid 14.95 for mine. The interesting thing is that it will allow you to copy files from the PS2 to a flashdrive also. I have a Lexar 256Mb Jump Drive and it treats it just like it was a PSP. So I can copy files to the flash drive and then to my PC and back pretty easily. I also have a Max Drive now and did a bit of experimenting and it would seem that the files are interchangeable. I transported files via Memory Manager to my PC and back to my PS2 via the Max Drive and they worked. I do not like either the Memory Manager or the Max Drive PC software so I just compy the files directly from drive to PC and back. The Memory Manager software recognizes only a PSP connected to your PC and the Max Drive software is not very usable. If you already own a flash drive it would be a low cost way to pick up a replay management system. And even if you do not you may find a flash drive and the memory manager software cheaper than buying a Max Drive. And I think it is more versatile. ------------------ GT4 Diaries [This message has been edited by LaughteranDMirth (edited 06-01-2005).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Gamestop. Although I think I have seen it several other places that carried PSP items, but you need to look in the PSP section. ------------------ GT4 Diaries IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Is this the "Get Connected" brand media manager? I just picked one of these up. It has a large USB at one end of the cable, and a smaller USB at the other? How did you make this work...large USB into the PS2 and the Flash drive into the smaller USB? If so, I need to get myself a flash drive with the smaller port... Thanks! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hey LDM, I picked one of these up a few weeks ago on your suggestion and unfortunately my first generation PS2 won't read the disc. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry Jason, I did not think of that one. I have two second/or whatever gen PS2s as my first gen quit reading disks. ------------------ GT4 Diaries IP: Logged |
