I think I still have the 5.25 inch floppy disc for this game in a box somewhere.

I finished it back in the day. The really frustrating part is that you get to almost the end and get killed every time because of something really innocuous that you didn't think to do near the start of the game, so you have to start over and do that innocuous thing and go back through the whole game again.

I still have the Infocom game. I also have Leather Goddesses of Phobos, which frankly was a better game. HHG was just too random in too many places to be that fun. Leather Goddesses was random in places too - I remember the venus flytrap and navigating the canals of Mars to be rough - but nowhere near as bad as HHG. No Tea, seriously? Grrr.

* In fact, I still have the POSTER that came with Leather Goddesses of Phobos. It's in a frame in the closet.

Man, text adventure games.

I never played those, but I played a few on the Commodore Vic-20, there was a pirate/island themed one and "voodoo castle", I think was another one. They could be VERY frustrating.
