Early reports are conflicting as to how bad it is. But I think the real revelation here is that if you're Harrison Ford, apparently a normal day involves flying this beast around.

That golf course is a regular crash landing spot for failed takeoffs from KSMO (and right next to a friend's house). I'm a fan of the airport (you see some awfully cool planes and cars there), but this is going to add ammunition for the people who have been trying to get it shut down.

In other news, sounds like he was not badly hurt, his son tweeted that he's got some cuts but is otherwise fine. The PT-22 looks a little worse for wear, though.

'Course, now the news is saying he had surgery for pelvic injuries, which sounds worse than some cuts. Either way, sounds like he'll be okay.

At his age, minor injuries can beceome worse easily (or may be worse than first appearance), no wonder the conflicting reports.

Harrison Ford Flies Again After Fatal Plane Crash (http://www.newseveryday.com/articles/18219/20150530/harrison-ford-plane-crash-santa-monica-vintage-plane.htm#5hPZavxtxlyJhlLl.01)

I almost put it in the epic fails thread because the writer doesn't seem to know what the word fatal means.

To be fair, that accident almost certainly claimed the lives of some insects or small wildlife, making it technically a fatal plane crash. Maybe that's what the author was referring to.

Yeah that's quite ... that's dumb. Surely they know better?

News journalists and their editors no longer have to do any thinking, so poor headlines like that fly right past all the time.

Wording aside, I'm glad to see he's recovering well enough to get back to doing things he enjoys.

For several years now, I have been of the opinion that news is now written by bloggers, not journalists.

I don't think genocide means what you think it means

Maybe Ford really died in that plane and then got born again!

Or maybe the author was referring to the poor plane that Ford killed... Ford is a plane killer. He really should stop flying.
