Hello all,

I was interested in getting a print of a painting. The only place I can find that seems to have one as big as the original is a fairly shade-tastic site:

http://paintingandframe.com/

It's not shady to the point that I don't think I'd get it, just shady to the point that I think the quality would be crap. But what do you guys think? Seem legit?

It also looks like I could actually buy a reproduction of it from amazon for like $320, but honestly I feel like a reproduction of a painting would be inferior to a print because inherently in a reproduction you're going to have some differentiation from the original.

Finally, a last option is that this painting is currently on loan to the DIA here in Detroit, so if anyone wants to hatch a Pink Panther-esque heist to take off with it, I am willing to provide moral support in the form of going along with you and humming the Pink Panther there song while you carry out said heist. (Not for realz though... Hello FBI!) :o

Shouldn't there be specialized firms doing lithographic reproductions if the original is well known?

Or is it an obscure artist?
