If I'm using the same IP connection and a hardwired line to the router, will I need to set up the connection again, or is it just a plug in job, I forget? BT Infinity router.

If it's by Ethernet then it's simply plug n'play.

Can I plug a DVD-D cable into a DVD-I socket on a GTX980?

Okay, yes I can, disregard.

Yeah, I is both. :)

Might look into DP, though - I assume both devices support it!

Yes, I just noted this and I did get a DP cable with the monitor, which is already hooked up to new monitor. PC is yet to arrive. Apparently with the AOC monitor the DP gives a faster refresh rate, so I'll be using that. Apparently there may be some stuff I have to do with the NVidia control panel under use multiple screens to set it up as DP. I think the default for first screen is HDMI.

Currently using the monitor with my PS4, it's awesome.

Either tomorrow or Monday will be pain in the arse, PC setup day. Then I have the joy of re-installing Steam and Origin and re-downloading all my games and I've lost a whole shed load of emulators.

USB multiport adaptors question. Do these basically work like a multi-plug adaptor? I.e. you can plug more than one USB device in and use either.

Well it's set up. All except Office because Microsoft's site won't load to activate the license.

What the heck is a USB multiport adapter? Are you talking about a USB hub?

Yeah, I don't need one, I was being stupid. Thought I needed more USB ports but didn't count the ones on the motherboard, only counted the case.:)
