View Full Version : Seriously Considering a Comptech S/C

The last few months, I've been researching/reviewing a supercharger for the Honda....

I really like the car, but it just needs more oomph.

Comptech and Honda/Acura have a great historical (yet unofficial) relationship.

I've had the car for 3 years, it's got 18xxx on the clock, so a shitton more. But it's just growing to be a bit lackluster (not that 200hp was all that "holy shit" anyway).

I look at it like this. The car should be paid off in a year. I can spend $4000-5000 on a supercharger and breath new life (excitement) into it, or, trade it in on something like an SS.

Which I've also been looking at pretty hard, but would involve more payments.

The Si has an extended warranty of 6 years/72000 miles. Which at the rate I'm going, I'll hit 72000 miles in 2026... provided we're not all Mad Max by then.

I'm not overly worried about the warranty, or the risk of voiding it.

Seeking thoughts/view points. By April, I'll know if I'm continuing contract work, or becoming a full employee.

I'd say only do it if you're keeping the car for awhile after.

If this current gig goes permanent, it may also open a few more possibilities.

I'm not sure Nicko would let go of it at this point :finger:

I spoke with him on XBL last year; he goes through seasons of thought on the matter. ;)

IT would have to be the 350R. Which, is a bit out of budget range, as well as buying it would also make me single.

Well the R was implied.

With a car like that, who needs a woman dragging you down?
