I always thought the X stood for "ex-", as in former members, after Kenji pretty much threw out everyone who didn't actually race cars in real life and moved all the Pit Stop posts to a NULL thread or something. Everyone up and left and went somewhere like the Green Tavern or wherever, or at least that's how I remember it from long ago.

After that, the F stands for Forum, or at least it does in my tiny brain.

So GTXF = the former GT forum members' forum.
