I had hundreds of these from the Superfast and MAN ranges.

Lose days in a nostalgia-wank. Thank me later, probably when we kill the dude's bandwidth.

The green AMX Javelin with opening doors and yellow interior was my favourite matchbox car, bar none.

I was more of a Hot Wheels fan, myself.

I remember having a station wagon that was larger than 1/64.

man I wish I'd kept my old cars in decent condition ... Pretty sure any that I have are fairly wrecked. Not that I'm confident I kept many, and lord knows which box they'd be in in the ceiling space.

I grew up (Matchbox car-wise, not puberty or anything) in the '70s and still have mine. My kids play with them and race them down our driveway - something that never occurred to me because we lived at the end of a long dirt road when I was their age.

Have a few Matchbox from the late 60s and early 70s and plenty of later Matchbox and Hot Wheels from the mid-70s and maybe...MAYBE the early '80s - all very well used by father and son (and daughter). Could maybe take pics if anyone's interested.

Edited to add: Former GT Forum member USAanj sent me one in the late '90s or early '00s and it's still new in the package, unopened.

Edited once again to add: Now that I've finally clicked on the link, I see I have a few that he has:

SF01C - Dodge Challenger
SF18A - Field Car
SF34B - Vantastic
SF55B - Mercury Commuter Police

And I know I used to own others he has pictured.

I still have my '70s leather (naugahyde?) draw-string two-tone marbles bag, full of '70s marbles too.

And Fisher Price toys.

Yeah, my Mom saved all of her only child's toys and the survived many moves and finally are here in Colorado and my parents are happily rid of them. No, they're not "hoarders" like you see on shock-reality TV but my Mom is pretty sweet and they've always had plenty of storage space, no matter where they've lived in the many years since.

I still have all of my toy diecasts... mostly Hot Wheels and Matchbox, but a few cars from Tomy, some Fast111's, and a few other randoms. Maybe I'll snap some pics later. I enjoy reminiscing about the days when Reagan was in charge and everything was going to be ok.

Same here. Still have all my stuff except like George it is at my parents house. Along with my Transformers, back the fuck up off my Jetfire. My NIB SDF1.

Sucks but I just don't have any room for it.

I told many of my Transformers when I was pretty young, but I kept the best (my $0.02) of them. I also kept my Legos, but a few years ago I gave them to my nephew. I think that's all the toy stuff I kept.

If I'd left it at my parents house it would have been discarded... my mom periodically goes on cleaning binges and sticks to the six month rule... if it hasn't been touched in six months, it's gone. :)

I have a smallish piece of furniture that I keep this type of stuff in... it's in a corner, out of the way, and not easily openable anyway, so I'm not losing storage I'd otherwise use. Every so often I go through it to dig up memories and it's always fun, like crawling through an old attic or something. :)

I enjoy reminiscing about the days when Reagan was in charge and everything was going to be ok.

My wife was just barely old enough to vote for Reagan in '84. I enjoy teasing my "old lady" about that. I'm just a little younger.

I know for a fact I had these cars in my collection. The rest were probably Hot Wheels.

I collect hot wheels. I do have a few Matchbox, Maisto, Johnny Lightening, and Racing Champions. The new Matchbox are better looking. When I was a kid (late 60's) a friend collected Matchbox. He had a several hundred.

Out of that list i think i still have (in very worn condition);
SF08C - DeTomaso Pantera
SF12C - Big Bull
SF27B - Lamborghini Countach ??
SF30B - Beach Buggy ?
SF35B - Fandango
SF57C - Wildlife Truck?
SF60B - Lotus Super Seven
SF72B - SRN6 Hovercraft x2?

I will get pics of them all one day, have all my grandparents ones too (all of the above plus heaps more) which are a lot older than mine.
