Winter kept making a reprise around here, then we skipped to pollen season. Looks like we might get a few days between now and just plain hot we might be able to enjoy.

Which means it will probably rain.

Hey, ettsn! Wondered what happened to you since the move to the new board, especially when we had some good guitar discussion a while back.

Today here south of Denver we still have some unmelted snow in shady areas. It's 57 degees F here midafternoon on May 15.

Hate to think of people dealing with fires. They're damn scary.

My cousin's in Vista. Knows some who've lost their homes in San Marcos. It's pretty grim she said.

My friends in Vista have been fortunate to only get ash on their cars this far.

Been there done that a few times.

The housemate's cat does the same, but it has never worn 20kg of PPE and dragged hoses and drip torches through the bush in summer.

Side note, Bill do you happen to know when Eucalyptus was introduced to California?

and I think Drought and Earthquake come before Flood.

There's a plan in the Bay Area to start removing them because they are non-native and a fire hazard; we'll see how that works out.

We have fire, flood, drought and earthquake.

Other than perhaps fire and flood can't happen together, I guess we could have 3 'seasons' happening simultaneously! ;)

Anyway, past week really had been unseasonably hot. Even the beaches reached 100 degrees! I don't recall that ever happening... especially during May!

Typical slack government workers, sleeping on the job!

I hope it's obvious I'm joking.

My son (aged 5 for a couple more weeks) loves Batman and Spiderman and all the other usual suspects. He asked me a while back if superheroes really existed. I told him they absolutely do. They drive black and white cars and big red trucks. One day he will understand but he doesn't believe me now.
