wtf, I AM the administrator. I get "access is denied" trying to open a folder (that I want to delete).

"You need permission to perform this action", etc, etc

I've muddled around with the security settings, to no avail.

I've "taken ownership", this doesn't do shit.

All I want to do is delete a goddamn folder. I've never had this issue before, it's starting to piss me off a little.

It's a folder on a non-OS drive. I can't do anything to it. I can't even change the name of it.

Seeking some help before I break something.

Could it be because a program is using it somehow? Maybe start in safe mode, close all non-essential processes you can then try?

I had a similar issue and had to reinstall Windows. :(

Kidding.

I think a restart fixed it.

This happens, it's weird permissions stuff.

If you can, I'd use the brute force method, which is to take everything else off the drive, format it, then put everything else back on it.

What folder, specifically, is it, and what is in it? This is not entirely uncommon - there is always a fix whether it be command line shit or safe mode shit or using something like handle or process explorer to figure out what is using it.

It has apparently unfucked itself.
