Totally disagree. If they are going to do anything they need to give us a Legacy Wagon STi with 6 speed. Now that I would be excited about. :)

Then it needs to have a TURBO, like a REAL LEGACY, and look like the BL/4th-gen, not the toad-like 5th-gen.

If they made a Forester STI with the turbo FA20 out of the WRX S4, the only downside would be that they'd put that damned CVT in it.

I highly doubt an "STi" model of anything would get a CVT.

As for a Legacy STi... no thanks. The Legacy hasn't looked good for 2 or 3 generations now. It's an old man's car now... an AWD alternative for the Maxima crowd.

They sold a WRX STI with an automatic in the previous generation in Japan, and the current WRX has a CVT, so its not too far fetched.

No coincidence that the last good-looking generation of the Legacy (no bias here at all, no) was the last one to get the "S40x" treatment. In that there's an S402, but no S403.

They need to sort out the Impreza first! Don't know about the US but we're still getting the self destructive EJ25 engine in the STI!

Just read the internet - yes, they're getting it too.

Like you, I'm waiting for the mid-cycle STI refresh with a tuned FA20DIT.

And hopefully a revision to the ride quality. New model makes the Evo X feel like a Bentley! Which is odd as my '09 STI had a superb ride, even on the Prodrive springs.

Nope, unless you were getting close to the limits in which case it understeered like a plough! The lowering springs helped get rid of the wallow fantastically well.
