After arguably the greatest season in ESR history, Trans-Am has returned!

This will be a 15 race schedule that mixes the best of Australian Touring Car Masters (basically Australia's version of Trans-Am) and the North American Trans-Am Championship.

And like the real Trans-Am, this will feature an Over 2.5 Class and an Under 2.5 Class! Thanks to some careful tweaking, we produced the most competitive and exciting series ever in league history, with record numbers of winners in both classes, and two epic championship battles.

Minor tweaks have been made to tires and engines to level the playing field in both classes. In the Pro division, we'll be running Over 2.5. The "core" group, which consists of the '70 Camaro, '70 Challenger, '68 Penske Camaro, a tweaked Falcon T/A, and the Boss 302 Mustang, have a decent balance, and we've dropped horsepower on both the Javelin and Firebird enough that they now fit nicely into the class.

Over on the Sportsman side, we'll be running the Under 2.5 Class. This will consist of the usual TC-2 cars, however we have also included the Porsche 911 S 2.0, since it was, after all, the most successful Under 2.5 car in T/A history. HOWEVER, we have made a significant cut in horsepower, so it's more in line with the "fast" Alfa and "fast" Cortina. It still has the highest top speed (due to aerodynamics) but only at the absolute longest tracks. In addition, we've given the BMW 2002ti a slight bump in horsepower to bring it in line as well. Again, the cars retain their uniqueness, but we get things a bit closer.

The schedule features a balanced mixture of Short, Intermediate and Long tracks, with two Endurance races and two Shootouts mixed in. Here is a tentative schedule:

The Trans Am series we have run have been the most exciting racing we've done yet, in my opinion.
