I would certainly never throw weights.
But dropping a very heavy deadlift, in a controlled manner, is 100% acceptable. As is re-racking a heavy squat onto the pins. It's a goddamn gym, not a library, you're gonna make some noise.

Running my first race tomorrow. 7km "short course" of the Limberlost Challenge. Nervous af. Especially since there are TWO HUNDRED ENTRIES in my race on a 7km course. How the fuck are we supposed to fit on a trail?

By throwing a lot of elbows?
Good luck with race! This was last Sunday 5k with friends. You got a beer afterwards, which was fun.Attachment 3339
Apparently we get chicken skewers. Pretty cool.
And yes, all the slow fatties in my division will catch These Hands if I have to fight for space.
Mmmm chicken!
Finished 72nd out of about 200, and 10th overall in my age group. Not bad for my first ever foot race of any kind. May not be a big deal for people who run regularly, but for a weight lifter that was 300 lbs less than five years ago, I'll take it as a victory. I still prefer lifting weights though.

Good stuff, bro.
Great job!
Thanks. I made the mistake of running without water, since there was a water station halfway. But when we got to it it was empty other than one unopened jug and no attendant. That and my little group stopped to help an old lady who fell in the mud up to her knee. So I think I could've even managed higher.
