Dang look at all those best-of-the-rest drivers ahead of Vettel.
I imagine Ferrari would be a fairly shitty place to work at any time...but especially after they have ended your contract and chosen your replacement.
Actually that is not far from the truth.
I live in Emilia Romagna, italian motor region and everyone in motorsports and in motors locally knows that Ferrari is a shitty firm to work for: since its beginnings, and still true to these days, the red sport car brand underpays its workers at the tune of "It is already a privilege for you to work for Ferrari, so shut up and be thankful".
Don't know about the inner workings of Ferrari, but Charlie boy was hired to assess whether if they overpaid Vettel over the years...
Vettel should've shown Leclerc who's #1 last year or just bailed like he did when Ricciardo came along... too bad all the musical chairs were all full... or too bad he failed to show his worth. I actually bet on him during this fantasy F1 season..., I thought perhaps this season would be quite motivating for him..., but guess not. And I hope Ferrari's not sabotaging his car just to prove that they made the right decision...
Anyway, unless you are retiring on your own accord, I'd imagine it's difficult to race for any team who has chosen to not extend your contract for next year. I'd imgaine the worst of all team must've been Williams. You could win a championship for Frank and he would still not extend your contract!
I wonder if many drivers have left Ferrari and gone on to be more successful?
Even Schumacher failed to be more successful! :p
Only racer I remember is Alain Prost. Didn't he complained his Ferrari handled like a truck or something so he was fired.
He later on won a championship with Williams.
Typically drivers reach their prime as they drive for ferrari... I think this is true for the #2 drivers too. Unless you're already a legend like Alain Prost, your career probably tend to end or go down post-ferrari? Any other exceptions other than Prost?
Could Alonso and Vettel and Kimi win any more championships... or even more races? Probably not likely...
Unless Mercedes signs them up or RP copy them mercedes real good.
Oh yeah, forgot about Lauda and Mansell... they drove for Ferrari before I got into F-1 that's why! :p
Is Hulk the unluckiest driver ever or what?
Perez has officially completed his quarantine and will be racing this weekend unless his new test comes back positive.
