    Agreed, and the fact that we have to keep up with shit on 3 different credit bureaus is stupid as they all have different scores/info.

    Then you send them something to fix, like an address you never lived at, then they send a statement saying that there's nothing to change....ahem, duh, I never lived there!

    I want to agree with that and spent a good portion of my life rowing that boat but building credit is very worthwhile as the system works right now. You are literally leaving money on the table not taking advantage (and I mean that in the most predatory sort of way) of the current system.

    I have a truck that is paid for, I own a house. The next order is to build an ffr 818. I'm not in a position for FICO to matter at all. As far as I am concerned, it is a trap to get people to owe money.

    What works for you may not work for others. Rather than saying that one way is a trap, or the other way is leaving something on the table, let's just say they are all options with pros and cons and people should do whatever they are comfortable with personally and financially.
