Moving to Pittsburgh was an eye opener. Not sure if it's a local thing or what but there is a huge MINI ownership population here. When I lived in Wisconsin I drove all the way to Nebraska to buy the used MINI I wanted. Pittsburgh is infested with them.
I know that the normal minis are not BAD cars. They're probably good. But yes, the Countryman is truly an abomination. Hate hate hate
I was really hoping that Hummer was going to stay in business and keep making smaller and smaller SUV's, then we would come to a point where a Mini Countryman is larger than a Hummer SUV and the world would officially no longer make sense
I really like the Cooper S Clubman's.
I know that odds are high that they're nothing but trouble (by comparison to the endless line-up of Toyota's that I normally own), because looking at the ones for sale, and the list of things that have been replaced on them at comparatively low mileage.
I was a *huge* fan of the original Mini Van / Estate range. But they're worth as much as 2 or 3 "new" (2008-ish) Clubman's.
Throwing gas on the fire of the current Mini vs. Mini debate:
