Anyway, I found a third-party mod for MP controller support. I started MP, created a game, and got a full squad in minutes. It is pretty amazing how many people still play this game.
Quick play does not work for me though. I get an error message every time, something to the effect of, “You have lost connection to the host.” or something like that.
The mobile version of the site won't let you edit, only delete, because it has a problem with verticality: when you tap on a page, if there's a button above where you tapped on the page, that button will be pressed instead. Yes, that is what happened.
There were two versions of the MP Controller Support mod. I installed the other one and things seem to work fine now.
