The value of a good livery

Obviously beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all, plus I think I probably posted one of these last year too but I miss big tobacco in my sponsorship and it's why when I actually get the bug to make a livery for a game, I tend to always look to the past as opposed to the present. Click the, uh, ermm... Williams to see more.

I liked the hue of the Prosts. was it pearl effect? it kinda looked purple at some venues. And of course the Sauber Petronas were pretty.

Agreed. Some of the Arrows are just georgous. Especially the 94.

And of course the classics, like the Lotus 49 and the 74 Tyrrell. Just like any well designed piece of furniture or a house. They just never go out of style.

On the subject of retro, is there a special significance of (lack of) black wings on a Ferrari? Superstition? Ross Brawn forbade them and they started winning?

You could even go back to when high noses started to appear with Tyrrell in the early 90s.

On the flip-side, some of those from the 70s look awful. Take the Wolf Racing (black with gold flash) for instance. Works well on the original, looks hopeless on a modern car.

And those Benettons always looked so wonderfully colourful.
