News journalists and their editors no longer have to do any thinking, so poor headlines like that fly right past all the time.
Wording aside, I'm glad to see he's recovering well enough to get back to doing things he enjoys.

Or maybe the author was referring to the poor plane that Ford killed... Ford is a plane killer. He really should stop flying.
