OK I guess to be fair, I have played Chinese Parents on my computer. Because what else could be more relaxing, as a Chinese Parent or overseas origin, than playing a game about being a Chinese Parent!!

PS5 pre orders have pretty much sold out for launch day across the planet too.

Queues today. I popped into a mobile phone provider which allows pre-orders and had no queue. Name registered, no guarantee, but whatevah.

People started reselling their console allocation at 25% more than the price. Then it went to double. Then someone decided he'd troll it and charge 500%. Finally, someone else decided to list his on Carousell for... ONE MEEELEEEOOON (Hong Kong) DOLLARS. True story.

So 30xx series aside. MSFS2020 has made me absolutely not regret returning my 2070 Super for a 2080Ti.

Now Obviously, if I could have waited another 1.5 years, I would have been far better off with a 3080 for ~20% better performance for about 60% price, but still.

Avoid EVGA 3080 cards: they have overheating problems.
Also other brands' 3080s have similar issues but not as widespread as the EVGA ones.

It's been reported that they ALL have a bad cap in them. (Not all cards have bad caps, all cards have the same cap that's gone bad already).

That said, the "launch" fiasco with all the scalpers/BOTs getting them, good. They got the janky gen one shit.

Given that I likely won't see one available until 2021, it gives me time to decide.

Initial tests put the 3090 15% or so above the 3080.

At max 14% difference at 1440p, about 6% difference at 4K.
Useless, more or less.
