I put my name in the EVGA 3080 Ti queue... aaand my name finally got called. So the build as I had imagined is now complete.

Sweet. I think it was 3 months wait for me. Ordered in mid-December 2019 (pre-COVID) and got it mid-March.

That said, rather than pay $1800 for another, fairly redundant GPU, I'd rather put that towards a CT-E supercharger for the Civic.

Still rocking a 1070 at home, and a 970 at work. Just removed my... 560Ti from the home server (since it has integrated graphics anyway).

Not exactly a gaming pc as it's for work, but I out in an order for a 12700 to replace my work 6500. The last straw was an 8 person zoom conference audio stuttering while I tried to open a JPG in WhatsApp. This new computer should also be much faster at OCRing 300+ pg pdfs.

The announcement of the 3090TI didn't really even bat an eye with me. After looking at some side by sides vs the 3090, 5-10 frames average on most games isn't worth the (wait) and dropping $2500.

Yeah, screw that. Only buy 2nd or 3rd-tier cards. Or geforce now.
