Still pretty much impossible to find an RTX 3080, but I do see one being resold for only twice the MSRP instead of 6x and it's been up on Amazon for the better part of a day, so maybe good news is on the horizon.

New build is slowly coming together. Case ordered (https://www.lian-li.com/pc-011/ in white) An Arctic cooling Freezer 2 240mm AIO, MSI X570 Tomahawk Max, hopefully getting a new 5800X next week, keeping an eye out for a good 32GB DDR4 3600Mhz kit around Black Friday, I have a 512Gb NVME ready to go as well. I'll be carrying over the 500GB Sata SSD and 2TB mechanical drive into the new one as well as my MSI 2070 Super Gaming X Trio in preparation for a 3080 early next year once stock becomes a bit more plentiful. Should be a beast of a machine good for at least 3 years, maybe more once all done.

Alan, I was actually eyeing up that Lian Li myself....

I really don't need a new/upgraded PC, and I don't know what I'd do with this one, but I have the urge to build, and may take a stab at my first water cooled setup.

Nice project, Alan. The Dynamic is splendid, although I prefer it in darker colours!

Itís going to take Intel 10 years to recover from this.

Been looking at tons of reviews and bench tests. Certainly looks like AMD grabbed Intel by the tits this time. Add to that the 6900 vs 3080....

Its been a long time (12 years+?) since I've had an AMD anything under the hood. It may be time.

That said, anyone want an 8700k with 1080ti?

Double AMD might be a real option (subject to availability) from Dec onward.
