The xA has been slowly crapping the bed, not undrivable, but just annoying maintenance, that I finally decided to put said monthly maintenance costs towards a new car payment instead. A Fiesta ST
Keith told me to post here, so uh, yeah. I guess there, I done did it.
Mini review:
- It's a car that deserves a better driver than myself
- Clutch is light, transmission is crisp
- Torque is immediate
- Stays flat in the corner
- Functional interior, though I'm uncomfortable with all the new fangled standard do-dads
- Blindspot mirrors are pretty neat
Only 85 miles on it so far... I've read some things that changing oil at around 100 miles is a decent idea to clear out some of the initial crap, then again at somewhere in the low 1000s (1000-5000?) But I think Ford's official suggestions is to just do a change at about 1000, so I dunno. Also, this engine break in period is annoying, I don't drive that much (that many miles)... it's gonna be like 6 months before I get to have fun
All in all, though, fantastic car, really good bang for the buck. Definitely the quickest thing I've driven for more than a day or two. Which, isn't saying a whole lot, but its cool for me.
