NYC doesn't have concealed carry for the general public. New York state concealed permits are not valid in the city. You have to be a retired police officer or an armed guard to get one.

Not technically correct. NYC does theoretically have may-issue concealed carry if you jump through the hoops and they think you have what they deem a good reason, but in practice, it's only for the well-connected. That aspect may better allow it to withstand challenge than Hawaii's policies; NYC actually does issue permits even if in probably corrupt fashion, whereas Hawaii issued a total 4 over an 18 year span.

Yeah, there are special use permits but they functionally do not exist in a meaningful way.

It took me a grand total of about six weeks to apply for and receive a lifetime Indiana carry permit. I don't carry a gun ever but it does come in handy when a state issued ID is required.

I’ve not seen that (nor do I want to) but it’s floating around. I did, however, peruse the alledged manifest. It starts out reasonably coherently but 1/4 the way through it just devolves into rambling.

It details another pathetic soul lost to extreme right-wing nationalism. Our media and our politicians have a lot to answer for in this regard.
