In a sort of odd tribute to Notre Dame, Assassin's Creed: Unity is free to purchase for the next week on UPlay. I think that may only apply to the PC version.

Yech. Dunno if the game gets any better, but I had had enough about 10 minutes into it.

I've only played Origins and Odyssey. Have thought about going back to some of the earlier ones, but I'm undecided

As an FYI, Burnout Paradise Remastered on Xbox is $5 for the Spring sale. That particular deal stood out for me so I nabbed it.

Was anyone else silly enough to buy the new toy Playstation Classic?

    https://www.playstation.com/en-ca/ex...ation-classic/

    I'm glad it was, I believe, half-price ($39CDN at Wal-Mart in Canada).

I felt sort of like I had stolen Barbie's PlayStation, or something. Well, alright, it's not quite that small, but...

So far I've verified it works, and played a little Ridge Racer R4.

And also discovered that small (<=12") HDMI monitors/TVs are hard-to-find. It seems it might be suited to a small display device, but that's not an option. One set of wires needs to cross the floor to a main TV. I used a long HDMI cable, and kept the box close to me (the controller cords aren't particularly long, anyway).

I'd seen and ignored rumours earlier, I think. Supposedly the release date in Canada was December 3, 2018, but I don't remember seeing it anywhere. Certainly not prominently. At the original suggested $129CDN you'd expect to get a full-sized fully-functional console. Or I would, at least.

I thought about it, but still can't justify it.

It's not like they got one thing wrong...they got several things wrong. Maybe for $20 I'd get it

I got the NES Classic by way of Australia (thanks RWA!) two years ago, and have turned it on precisely twice.

All I really want is to have City of Heroes back. I could ditch everything for that one game.

The PlayStation Classics are back to $79 again now. Seems way too much.

I think the Wal-Mart must have had the C64 emulator for much less then $99, too. Because I don't remember that much hesitation regarding eventually buying it, although I did in fact delay, thinking I could think about it for a couple of weeks. At $49 I might get one, and maybe one for the tireless underpad installation guy in the next office, too.

    But $99 seems too much.
