    Terminator Genisys

I saw this last night, quite enjoyed it. I'd tried to keep my expectations low, especially after the recent Mad Max movie.
Plenty of action, quite a few laughs without being too cheesy.
If anything I'd say it tried for too much plot, although that is better than no plot (Fury Road!)

Not as good as the first two, but easily better than the last two.
Arnie was good, can still do menace and comedy.
I liked the scenes that replayed the original movie.

Definite must see for fans of the originals.

I'm not even watching the Mad Max remake, they didn't even remake the right one. The first was the best despite the ridiculously low budget.

    Fury Road isn't a remake.

Glad to hear there is a plot of some sort...

My biggest issue with the first three Terminators is that they were effectively all the same... Good guy sent back to stop a bad guy who is sent back, and little bits of Skynet story moves along... which is kinda why I liked Salvation more than other people.

I really didnt like Fury Road - felt more like Fast + Furious Postapocalpyse

Genisys has a plot and does try to do both the "good and bad guy back in time" and progress the Skynet story.

I thought Daenerys/Emilia was good as Sarah Connor. Her character felt fairly consistent. Reese was a bit less convincing, Biehn did a great job on being tough, but also a little vulnerable being in the wrong world. This guy was ok, but didnt click the same "likeable" style for me.
Arnie was good. Didnt overdo it. He had a large part, but didnt have to carry the film.

Im off to see it again with a mate who couldnt make Monday night.
Happy to watch it again for $$ at the cinema.

I'm one of the few out there that like every single Terminator movie it seems (didn't watch the TV series, and haven't seen the new movie yet).

And i really liked Mad Max Fury Road. Most action i've seen in a movie for a long time.
