Looks like simply a Mid-Engine version of the C7.

Yeah, it has the ZR1 badge on it, so my assumption is that it's actually someone's attempt at the mid-engined C7 ZR1, which rumors say will absorb much of the development time/cost for the C8. But Carlo loves speculating

You say that like it's a bad thing -- speculation is all part of the hobby and doesn't need to be ridiculed.

I didn't say it like it was a bad thing, I was saying it matter of factly. The rendering is not at all accurate or official in anyway, but you know that and you don't mind. That's why I didn't bother trying to point out all the flaws originally of why it wasn't even a C8 rendering attempt, rather a C7 ZR1, because that's not the point, and I knew it wasn't your point.

Is there any actual truth behind a mid engined C8? I feel like there have been rumors for 20 years now of the Corvette going mid engine.

This time those rumors are totally true, though! TOTALLY TRUE.

There was a weird mule spotted, that's about the only "truth" to this rumor.
