Saw my first 991 Turbo today. In black. Then literally seconds later a Turbo S passed in the opposite direction. Also in black
On Wednesday I was out looking for apartments and was surprised to see a green Mazda REPU in one of the lots at one complex.

They sometimes get a loaner and use it mostly for "public relations"
Ie park it and have people come to look at it.
I doubt it's cleared to do a chase.
Porsche or othe car companies are happy to loan the cars for free just to get there cars seen.

The 991 Turbo does look rather odd. There's one in our car park which I always have to narrowly avoid hitting when reversing out. I think the rims are too big for it.
Yeah, it looks a bit too bling/luxurious for a Turbo. But then that's the 991 in general. I think the rims are too big even on the standard model.
Also, kinda related to this topic, I was watching "National Security", a Martin Lawrence/Steve Zahn movie from last decade that takes place in LA. At one point they try to commandeer a vehicle. That vehicle: Opel Speedster!/Vauxhall VX220! WTF?
