Last week: "Nope, no plans to end production."
This week: "Ending production...of Japanese models."
Yeah, ok.

Get that weak shit off my track
Why is Super Smash Bros still $60.
(And Star Fox Zero)
I don't want to pay full price for something my son will likely only play a handful of times.
Nintendo's first party games are rarely discounted, I'm told. Especially the ones with cult followings or that are relatively new.

Like Disney movies. :/ Keep stock low and people will pay higher prices.

This is that moment when you think back to when the 'Cube or N64 were still in shops and it was Nintendo's thing, but nowadays mint boxed copies of Bad Fur Day go for AU$300. It'll be the same thing in 15 years; the Wii U will be looked upon as an underrated console with a lot of great games. Then there's the whole two-screen gaming era. What a mad proposition. It's all ending soon.
Right now I'm playing the trade-off game where I trade off the potential discounts on the console against the risk that they'll all be sold out before I can buy one brand new. I don't want to have another gap in my Nintendo console collection, the last one being the SNES and a few of their handhelds.
