I bought my Ducati Monster 696 without a test ride, but that sort of thing is a little more common in the motorcycle world.

I sort of get it in that arena - the opportunity for failure on a motorcycle seems quite a bit higher. Especially sport bikes. I will say I had no problem test riding a bunch of scooters back in the gas crisis days.

I got the Spyder without a test drive!
But I've test ridden all my bikes.

Talking Focus ST, there was one at a performance drive day that I did. It was the closest car to mine for times. A few AMG C63, wrx, HSV and FPV (our hot Ford and GMs), Golf R but the Focus had them all easily.
