Plus, my car lives outside, so the mirrors get fogged up with condensation/dew.

Indeed. And it's a very good idea, because years of hacking away at your sideview mirrors with an ice scraper greatly increase the chances of fucking them up.

A five year old Civic may not seem like a big deal to most, but it's the first car made in the 21st century that I've owned...It has a leather-wrapped steering wheel! A moonroof! And heated mirrors! WTF are those!? I can't even.
