Yep that’s right. My winter Switch game purchases will be Go Vacation and Dark Souls.

Heaps of Pokémon news fresh out of the oven today.

Just announced; the rumoured Pokémon games Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee, complete with two-way integration with Pokémon GO and it’s own special Poké Ball controller. It looks pretty exciting! November release.

Also announced: an all-new core Pokémon RPG for Switch coming in 2019, and a new non-core free-to-play RPG for Switch and smartphones.

I'm pretty into almost everything I saw on that video except two things... no wild pokemon battles, which means experience has to come some other way, and it also looks like it's motion controls only. Depending on what they do with experience/evolution (if it requires candy like PoGo, I'm out), and if there's an option for conventional controls, determines if I'll be buying this or not.

Nothing for me, really, sadly. Last two Indie games I got a decent amount of play time out of have been Sleep Tight (dual stick shooter/fort builder), and Golf Story (Golf RPG).

Into The Breach is a great game. It works well on TV and portable mode. It has that calculated chess-RPG style kinda like Final Fantasy Tactics or Advanced Wars.

This could be expensive if you were serious about collecting.

There’s two versions. The hardware is identical, but one has Let’s Go Pikachu pre-installed and one has Let’s Go Eevee pre-installed. And of course this means the packaging is different.

I’m lucky that I’m not that serious about collecting every Switch variant.

The delayed Nintendo Direct landed today. Main announcements:

    New Animal Crossing
    Luigi’s Mansion 3
A big archive of Final Fantasy games from 7 up to 12 (but not 8 or 11)
Port of New Super Mario Bros. U, including the standalone Luigi U free-of-charge

    And this:

…but only for Switch Online subscribers.
