I was a fan of Capcom's soulless Auto Modellista and very much dig the idea of a cel-shaded and/or stylized racer. Not everything needs to be photorealistic if it's fun.

I really wanted to like that game. I thought it looked awesome... the game play wasn't all that great though and I lost interest pretty much instantly. I am totally cool with non-photorealistic games, but I still want semi-realistic game play. I thought AM missed the mark pretty badly. I was so depressed about it!

So apparently all the specs except gpu and cpu ones have been announced.

what reason is there not to release those?

Because it's not Nintendo's focus. They're games-centric, not hardware-centric like the other two.

Same reason Apple doesn't release their internal specs on their mobile devices, I'd suspect. That's not their focus in attracting buyers.

Also, releasing numbers would probably hurt sales, because you know damned well the entire internet will be outraged that it doesn't do 4k 3D 120fps BattleDuty or whatever.
