You mean it weighs more than a pound?

    16 ounces = 1 pound

Therefore a 16-ounce beer weighs one pound and should be within doctors' orders.

Do they let you swill tallboys in a hospital?

    Best wishes to you, Godson.

    I’m nerdy, not fun.
So I’ll point out that a US fluid ounce of water weighs more than an ounce. And beer is denser than water...
But ignoring these science - hope you recover quickly

Thanks everyone. Currently in some pain on my arm due to the extensive work that was performed.

I'm on Percocet 10/375 and pretty sure my levels were getting a bit high. Had some pretty substantial nausea and vomiting this evening. Had to phone a friend for some zofran. Afterwards I felt great.

I took a break from the narcotics to see if that would help, knowing pain would creep back in and take a while to get under control.

Pain level is going down gradually, so things are looking up.

So I'm in St Louis today to have my hip evaluated for a total hip arthroplasty.

Surgeon knows what he is doing, I'm not the youngest person in the waiting room. Have to get my hip aspirated and some Labs drawn, currently have my total scheduled for December 7th.

I have some classes to attend prior to me getting approved for my total, I will also need to take antibiotics prior to every dental procedure for the rest of my life.

This is where the ground comes and makes it hard to stay positive.

I'm super happy to know I'm at least scheduled to get this crappy thing replaced.
