The Note 7 explosions

So it's just recently been reported that the Note 7 that caught fire on a plane (while it was on the ground) was one of the supposedly "safe" replacement devices.

This is really bad. I mean, ok, the initial issue wasn't great, but hey, companies make mistakes, even big ones. Whatever, if they identify the problem and fix it, no problem. But for them to say "Ok, it's all good now." And then STILL have phones catch on fire, that really erodes my trust. I held off getting a new Note because of the cost, thinking I might pick one up whenever they get cheaper, but now I just don't know if I can ever trust the phone not to be dangerous.

Apple reportedly is having some issues with their iPhone 7 as well.

its not like there's never been a phone battery explode before.
