For those not following the cycling thread, I actually managed to pre-qualify for the "Race Across America" - a 5,000km (3,000mi) bike race from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD (wherever those places are?) - as a result of my performance in a recent 24 hour race. Pretty chuffed about it (even though there's no way I'm entering RAAM), but also kinda sad because I reckon Bill (overpowered) would have thought that was pretty fucking awesome too.
