    Ketchup on pizza

Argument with girly. Just ordered some room service - foie gras, pizza and baclava and it turned up with some ketchup. Her argument is that Americans have ketchup with anything and they're covering bases. My argument is I've lived there and no-one I met there would have ketchup with anything we ordered and the kitchen are muppets. So who's right, assuming foie gras and baclava are ketchup free zones does anyone have ketchup with pizza.

    Yes, drunk and important questions

Fuck ketchup. I hate the stuff. Definitely does not go on pizza.

No, not on pizza. But you can absolutely dip a pizza in ranch dressing.

Seems nuts to me, but then I am not a ketchup fan. In my world it gets used pretty much exclusively on burgers and/or sometimes french fries.
I can't even begin to guess what kind of monster would apply it to foie gras or baklava.

Nope. Burgers, dogs only. Some like it on fries, but that's not for me. And if I'm in a pinch I'll use it to help put down a mediocre steak if nothing else is available.

Well, ranch dressing makes most things taste better. But not foie gras or baklava.

I have an uncle who loves ketchup, puts it on everything. Most famously, mac and cheese.

Ketchup (Heinz) has a special standing here in Pittsburgh though so that might be a symptom of that.

My daughter likes Ketchup with most meals but in no way would she eat, pizza, foie gras or baclava with Ketchup. Just no!

And Ketchup does not go on a hotdog, only mustard. Only thing I will put Ketchup on is Meat Loaf but that is part of the cooking process

I grew up with a kid that would put Ketchup on his cheese sandwich. Not much different than dipping it into tomato soup. My parents put it on their scrambled eggs.

We do put it on scrambled eggs, and Ash puts it on her hashbrowns.

The no-ketchup-on-a-hot-dog thing is so alien. I thought it was a Chicago only behavior but, well, here we are.

The fact that it has to be so over-explained by a nutball like that just demonstrates how culturally correct it is.

I think this is in the wrong forum.

But no, ketchup is an affront to humanity.

Except when used to make Russian Dressing for Reuben sandwiches.
