NOS 2 Days - Japanese Classic car show

I got to go to NOS 2 Days in Yokohama on Sunday. It's not a huge show, but there were some fairly special cars there.

Sorry not to have given any of you a heads-up - it was <24hrs after arriving from the UK, so I wasn't sure I would really be up for it until the day.

    Super-kawaii colour for a Subaru 360

    A nice colour for a 2000GT, somewhat Ferrari-esque?

Sean Connery's transport, with factory headroom mod ;-)

A very original L10A (short wheelbase) Cosmo Sport
I think this is the one that Mazda restored recently. Note original 10A engine.

A 240ZG, top of the range model that homologated the low-drag nose for racing

The unicorn engine, an L-series converted with the OS Giken TC24 head - that's twin cams, 24 valves, and up to an astounding naturally aspirated 420hp if installed on a fully-worked, bored and stroked block. Datsun 420Z, anyone?

And the factory original four-valve Z, the Z432 - Four valves per cylinder, three carbs, and two cams, the same S20 engine as the contemporary Skyline GTR.

I really liked this Speed Forme kit for the Z, because it gives it a contemporary look while still keeping the original lines intact
Wheels are 17" TE37s under carbon fibre arch lips
Making the most of traditional wing-mounted mirrors
Engine is true to the original, with some flavour of L-series on carbs

    A ready-to-race Prince Gloria

Nostalgic Hero magazine had a nice presentation of this Kenmeri Skyline

And here is its racing cousin, whose career was sadly curtailed by the oil crisis

A longtime rival of the Skylines on the track, the Mazda RX-3. I thought this was the Liberty Walk car that was seen at TAS this year, but it isn't.
    All hail the rotary!

    A more street-focused RX-3

A much rarer rotary, the Luce Coupe with elegant pillarless body

13A motor, longitudinally mounted driving the front wheels via a transaxle gearbox - just like the NSU Ro80.

Perhaps the youngest car on display, this FD was showing off the 'Total7' shop

    Isuzu's fastest, the Bellet GTR

There were quite a few Daruma Celicas at the show, I like the green paint and gold mesh wheels of this one

The wonderfully bonkers Nissan Cherry X1-R
    Love the badge

Another Toyota - the Publica SL. Love the knobbly off-road tyres on this rally version!

    A mid-engined rarity - the Cony 360 van

Honda's first four-wheeler, the equally mid-engined and practical Honda T360 pickup

Leaving the show I was surprised to see a Toyota 2000GT mixing it with regular traffic outside the venue

Not pictured are the horde of Hakosukas, the Honda S800 Coupe, the 911s, the TR3A, or the AC, as I didn't photograph everything.

(PS: I had to split the pics over separate posts because Google Photos has ludicrously long URLs, which pushed my posts over the 10k character limit.)

That looks like an amazing little show. Quality stuff! And some things I hadn't heard about or seen before. Those 240Zs are all so choice.
