No tour, just a repeat of the interview from yesterday.

You can buy one of these to celebrate your new job!

Does Ram even offer a single cab anymore? That does look sweet.

I decided to stay where I'm at because of some odd sense of loyalty and being worried about ballooning up because the new job isn't as active the current one.

Update on new job: been at it for more than a year now, still the same team, still kicking ass. Had brief downturn when they made it seem like they were going to make us be in the office every day (because that's what they said), but we worked it out eventually and now it's basically come in once every two weeks.

In the meantime, I've reaped the benefits of working for a company in the financial sector: discounts/perks on employee accounts, and a 401k match that is more than what I put in
Get that weak shit off my track

Good things can't last. Good news: I get to go home to Texas for three weeks and potentially fly to Radwood PNW. Bad news: my next assignment takes me to BFE rural Tennessee, 50 minutes from the nearest major city. Schedule will be 6 10-hour days for two months, possibly longer. Not allowed to leave my duty station during the day 😳 I was told to "bring a book, not an Xbox" and discouraged from bringing a full-size gaming laptop. Whatever that means. Lodging nearby is expensive (barely covered by per diem) and some places are sketchy. It's just one assignment, so maybe I'll consider it a bridge to a better assignment. All that overtime will be savings for the next JDM import: something 2WD, NA, simple.

I have a Chromebook that runs GT and GT2. They'll never see it.
