    The melee weapons in the trailer, supers, were a blue Captain America-style ricocheting shield, a purple bo staff, and an orange sword that was used only for slinging fire. They're also showing a bubble shield and a waist-height single direction static shield.

    Gameplay-wise I'm not sure what, if anything, is different, but they announced some changes to the game overall that the crowd went crazy for.

    - You can go to different worlds without first going to orbit
    - All PvP is now 4 on 4
    - They've added in-game clan support, with name, motto, banner, and rewards
    - Raids and similar can be done in a Guided mode, where a clan puts out looking for 1 or 2 extra slots, which can be filled by single players that get to see the clan name, motto and banner before deciding who to join; the goal was to add matchmaking, without it being a free-for-all where you end up matched up with assholes
    - The PC version will be on Blizzard's battle.net
    Get that weak shit off my track

    Whoa, I missed that part!! Battle.net for PC? I'm down with that. I guess it's all under Activision.

    Sadly Activision announced that the PC version doesn't yet have a release date and won't launch when XBone and PS4 versions do. I'm not pre-ordering until they give some more details.

    They did mention though
    4k Resolution Support (3820×2160)
    Uncapped framerate
    Full mouse and keyboard support with custom key mapping
    Text chat
    Adjustable Field of View
    Detailed PC settings screen
    21:9 monitor support

    No dedicated servers for PC. Boo. But if it uses the same tech as Destiny 1, that won't be too much of an issue unless we're talking PVP.

    All the vids look great, Phil -- plot spoilers abound within, folks so be aware!

    Looking forward to wielding my Dawnblade...

    (...but let's be honest, I'm looking forward to other Subclasses. )

    EDIT: Some reaction vids.

    :: Dawnblade Warlock ::

    -- Bungie has taken the Armor/Weapons of Light away from Titans (maybe?) and given Warlocks this ability in either Healing Rift or Empowering Rift. Or at least the Warlocks gain these powers, which is both cool and proper.

    -- Personally I'm not a fan of the floating gun platform ability of the Warlocks but eh I'll make it work. You can see in the vid that the Warlock takes plenty of hits while floating. Phoenix Dive perk or GTFO. Looks like there's an aerial Blazing Dash which will let you dodge, nice!

    -- PvP isn't giving me a good look at the melee distance but from what I've seen it looks like the range has been shortened. Peeps are saying melees and grenades are definitely weaker. That will hopefully make it more fun for Kid.

    :: Striker Titan ::

    -- Barricades, short & tall. Looking forward to seeing how you use these, Phil.

    -- Fists of Havok are more useful, good for 5-6 hits.

    -- Trample perk looks cool -- every opponent you trample will keep your Shoulder Charge going.

    :: Gunslinger Hunter ::

    -- Only dirt people play this class. Filthy. Did not watch.

    -- I do like how your first two weapons slots are now equal. Doesn't look like there are "Primary", "Secondary" weapons anymore, it's separated by damage type? Would be nice for those of us that want to carry an Auto Rifle and a Handcannon.

    I don't mind melee that much, as long as a shotgun to the face would stop you before you get to me.

    It's when I unload a full magazine into someone running straight at me, and I die from a bonk on the head, where I get annoyed/frustrated. (I'm looking at you Halo3)
