Can't help you here. But if you were a man of mezcal, I'd have tons of suggestions.
That said, I don't think you can wrong with Cuervo Reserva de la Familia.

There is no such thing as good tequila.
I guy I knew from Mexico City had a favourite he swore by. He pulled out a very special bottle at a party once. Dang, I wish I could remember what it was, but that was over ten years ago.
We have a bottle of KAH tequila, it's decent sipping tequila.
