*Insert, "Cool story, bro." meme.*
We had a big drama in high school. The year ahead of us they decided to go out and chain the lots every morning and then unchain them at the end of the day. There were protests, and someone had to go out and unlock it every single time someone had a permitted excuse to leave.
Same happened at my high school the year after me, luckily
I love driving by a place that advertises that they're selling Tomato's.

Team of archaeologists find the eastern outer wall of Tenochtitlan's Great Tzompantli, these 119 human skulls are added to the 484 other skulls that had been previously recorded.
A tzompantli was like a war monument that the cultures of the mesoamerican highlands used to erect to honor their victory. Kind of like a Asian stupa but with the exterior decorated with the mortal remains of the enemies impaled on horizontal beam supported by wooden columns, and they were dedicated to their respective god of war. The Mexica, the people who built Tenochtitlan, are thought to be outsiders to the region who were hired as workers in different capacities but who happened to excel in the art of war and, in time, their leaders married into the old highland elites, so in their art there's always this impostor syndrome that they're trying to overcome and they're always presenting themselves to be more than the old Nahuatl tribes they used to work for. So when they erected a war monument they went big, this thing was a platform with enough room atop for 4 basketball courts, it was probably 30 foot tall and decorated by approximately 60,000 skulls. Mostly of adult men.
