When I dl’d RDR2, I had frame rate issues for a few days.
Free pack this month includes the new universal aero kit IndyCar. I haven't driven one yet, but they're pretty.
AND THEY COME WITH SPEEDWAY WINGS!!!
Season pass/car pack combowhateverthehellitscalled (with eight car packs) is on special on Xbox store (in NZ anyway) for about $10.50NZD down from $50+ or whatever it was, so i bought it.
For my next magic trick, i'll actually buy the game.
When it goes cheap enough.
Too bad it is not part of Game Pass. I think it came out just before the whole Game Pass thing was a thing. It's awesome value.
For example, I've spent about $11 playing Forza Horizon 4 for a coupe of months.
As well as Gears of War 4 and Metro Exodus and Void Bastards and Hellblade and Dirt Rally and Superhot and ReCore and, oh look, Metal Gear Survive is on it too who gives a fuck?
I downloaded the free trial of FM7 since I have an Xbox and a compatible Fanatec wheel.
My word, does this game feel like poo on a FFB wheel or what? Same with FM6, which I got for free when I bought my Xbox. Utter, utter poo.
I got on the Fanatec website and used their suggested settings too. It improved things somewhat but it’s still mostly poo.
Thankfully I had a bunch of free cars available when I logged on, so I didn’t have to waste time in my precious 6-hour free trial earning anything. I’ve got a healthy variety of vehicles to try out.
And they all feel like poo.
I don’t know how anyone can take this game seriously as a racing sim. It’s got sim-like stuff going for it, but the feel through the steering just ruins it. All of the other sims I play, including GTS, have a feel that falls roughly within the same window of feedback, and if all of them are doing a similar thing then you can conclude that they’re doing something realistic. Forza feels completely different. It feels brown and sticky. Like poo.
Instead of making the most of these six hours I’m staring at an idling IndyCar on the Long Beach circuit while I type this rant.
I hope they turn things around for FM8 and bring it to the sim party. The variety of cars and tracks is really good.
But until then, as Cam would say: DELEATED
Sorry.
DEALEATEAD
Yeah, none of the Forza games feel right with a wheel to me, they're all clearly designed with a controller in mind. It gets a little better if you pick the "simulation" steering, but I just never bother using my wheel when playing them.
