I'm definitely more bummed about Toyota, as three of the four cars I've owned over the years were Toyotas, and there's something fun about hooning a car on a video game that you had to drive responsibly in real life. I've never owned a Porsche, so...

Well I'm sure Tyler will be along any time now to tell us how much fun owning a Porsche can be.

I really don't understand why any manufacturer would avoid being in a game like Forza. I mean, maybe if their cars all suck or something, it doesn't help, but it's not like Toyota is lacking in fun cars over the years, not a whole lot different than Honda in many regards.

I have a friend that works in video game property licensing. Dropped him a note to see if he has any idea why that would go down that way. He doesn't work for MS or Turn10, but maybe he's heard something.

Maybe they demanded that any game that licenses their road cars make Priuses "sexy", and Turn 10 said that was something beyond their abilities?

My guess would be some kind of agreement with another company (presumably Sony) that stipulated, if not exclusive, then at least no Forza, or no launch with Forza. That's assuming it wasn't just a lack of agreement on licensing fees, which it sounds like above, it wasn't.

Honestly Toyota isn't that exciting to me. Supra and Le Mans racers are all I'll miss really, only a little. As long as the BRZ stays, I'm good.
