I think I'll need to buy a CBS all access subscription.

I think I'll just subscribe after season 1 and then binge watch it in a month and then cancel.

I am kinda disappointed to see an end of that new ST movies.

Picard will be 1 episode per week, just like Discovery.

It's not broadcast on CBS in America, its only available on the CBS All Access streaming platform, meaning people have to pay for it.

I'm also a bit pissed to learn that everywhere else in the world will be able to watch Picard on Amazon Prime..., except for us Americans and Canadians. That's kinda lame. Lucky for YW.
I thought 4 was back on? When did it get cancelled again?

And also, Picard has already been renewed for season 2. Why would they do that if they were worried it was a failure?

I mean Discovery got a season 2 also.... (Admittedly I've never watched it, but just heard so many bad things about the first season).

Although honestly MOST Star Trek series have had a rough couple of years before they get good.

This link saying it's cancelled but dated 1 day prior to yours:

So not sure what's going on... suffice to say that it's on life support if not cancelled.

I initially learned about ST4 and Picard from this youtube video:

This video was uploaded on Jan 06.

Of course, nothing in that video is official, all rumors..., but I get the feeling that they are not baseless rumors.

Impossible. His sources are always impeccable.

Here's an article about ST4 development from the current year:

Oops... that was that long ago?!?!? Sorry that wasn't intentional... didn't see the year.

Anyway, I do fear that all those contract issues, building a business case,... all these BS is going to screw this series up like Star Wars.

These kind of things probably need a creative "dictator" in charge... once it run by a 'committee', inevitably things will get fucked up.

Without George Lucas... without Gene Roddenberry...

Just imagine if there's no James Cameron, his movie would've for sure sank just like the real Titanic.

CBS is just really worried about not being able to recoup the tremendous cost of their investment in Picard.

I wish these guys would just tell us the best possible story and quit worry about social media or poll numbers as politicians do.

If you make a good show, people will definitely watch it! Stop worrying about satisfying everyone!
