    Finale spoiler

    Spoiler:
I thought at the end the ship was going to be renamed the USS Picard, but Enterprise I guess makes more sense though I would have expected there to already be one in Starfleet

I did like the humor this season...it was better than other recent Star Trek shows, a bit corny but still made me laugh, and just the right amount

    I beg to differ.

    Spoiler:

    Spoiler:
The message from Captain Shaw to Starfleet command does face up to Elnor's quote, though.

Good…but not good enough sir! Quotes of such importance cannot possibly come from tertiary characters

I can’t wait for the next series…whatever it may be called. I like the characters they have chosen to continue on…without slamming the door on possible future involvement of older characters.

Star Trek has always been my first love. From a very young age I connected with it instantly. I have always enjoyed Star Wars as well but it just doesn’t invoke my feelings like Trek. Forever and always a Trekkie

When I was a little kid, it came on weeknights at 7:00 PM. I bet you saw it then too, as I think I remember we're the same age. I suppose anyone who cares knows it became popular in syndication a few years after being cancelled. This was the mid-1970s. I bought books about ST in our small-town bookstore, too, including the James Blish novelizations and some "Best of Trek Magazine" paperbacks, in which fans and writers would geek out about the series just like we do today online. The first book I ever bought was about Star Trek. I still have my Star Trek beach/pool towel from back then also.
