I'm digging Discovery so far... It's different, yet it's still Star Trek. My only complaint is, I wish it wasn't a prequel.

Third episode has mystery, spookiness, and good ole fashioned Federation sneakiness.

Again, though, canon hardliners would probably rip it apart.

So, um, if I mailed you guys some blank VHS tapes, think you could hook me up with some Discovery episodes?

    Just saw that.

The funniest moment from the series so far has to be...

    Spoiler:
The dance-off showdown. Joo! will be defeated Senor!

(So I'm posting Orville stuff here)

    Episode 6: Krill.....whoa...intense

For those who haven't seen it yet, I recommend it.

    and here's some spoiler tags

    Spoiler:
I know Star Trek had previously gone through present day issues in an abstract situation, and that was one of their strengths...it is clear that The Orville was going STRAIGHT for the analogy to islamic extremism. I commend them for their efforts, though it was quite a violent situation. The ending perfectly encapsulated the problems the U.S. has when fighting overseas and that a lot of people still don't seem to understand. I wonder how much this will go into further episodes. I'm not surprised that Seth McFarlane went this direction, just surprised how direct it all was

Fans of Star Trek Continues, lend me your ears!

*sound of crickets chirping in an empty field*

If anyone cares, episode 10, "To Boldly Go, Part 1" is supposed to be released today.

    http://startrekcontinues.com/episodes.html

Episode 11 is supposed to be the series finale and, if I understand correctly, will...

    Spoiler:

...show the completion of the original five-year mission.
